Significant Dates
August 1985 - Club name changed to American Eskimo Dog Club of America to conform with AKC guidelines
April 1986 - AKC Quote:"At this time, it would be unfair to give you encouragement that the breed would ever be accepted for registration by The American Kennel Club."
April 13, 1993 - AKC Approved American Eskimo Dog for Registration effective November 1, 1993. The American Eskimo Dog will then be admitted to the miscellaneous class effective January 1, 1994.
